School Nurse: Ms. Irvis
Provides care for student illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies
Maintains up-to-date health and immunization records
Conducts state-mandated health screenings
Administers prescribed medications and perform nursing procedures
Supports physicians and dentists during school-based exams
Offers health counseling and connect families to community resources
Delivers classroom instruction on health-related topics
Serves as a health consultant to parents, teachers, and school staff
COVID-19 vaccines are available at the City health centers below for residents of Philadelphia. You do not need to be a registered patient to get a COVID-19 vaccine at these locations.
Proof of Philadelphia residency is required. If you have an insurance card, please bring it to the health center. We will also provide COVID-19 vaccine to people who don’t have insurance. The COVID-19 vaccine is available to any resident age six months and older, for whom it is indicated.
